Primary qualifications: Certificate Queen Mary in Primary Health Care Management

Mrs Rajan is responsible for the day-to-day running of the practice and will be happy to help with any general enquiries you may have about the non-medical aspects of your treatment.

She is involved in managing all business aspects of the practice, including ensuring that the right systems are in place to provide high-quality patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises, equipment and information technology.

She supports GPs, staff and other clinicians in delivering patient services. If you are unsure who to speak to regarding a specific issue, please do not hesitate to contact her and she will be happy to advise you.

Mrs Rajan has learned the ropes of General Practice and is currently undertaking the roles of Practice Manager and Business Manager. She is responsible for the financial operations of Shrewsbury Road Surgery, ensuring that it runs within budget and can afford to deliver the best possible care for its patients.

Care Navigators/ Administrators

Our Care Navigators are here to help you. It is sometimes necessary for them to ask you for further details when you telephone. This is to ensure that we can assist you as quickly as possible, and that your are directed to the most appropriate person to deal with your problem. Please help them to help you by giving as much information as possible, especially in an emergency.

As you will see, activity in reception is often hectic and your patience is always appreciated.

Practice Care Co-ordinator

Our Practice Care Co-ordinator is trained to identify the patients who fall under our Priority Group of patients (older patients, frequent hospital attendance/admission). They will be able to organise any community support i.e. Social Services and/or OT assessment by liaising with the Social Prescriber. They organise practice monthly MDT meeting and also actively involved in inviting patients for their reviews including chid immunisations.  

The staff carry out their duties as directed by the management team. If you experience any difficulties, please take them up with the Practice Manager.
