Mira Rajan - Certificate Queen Mary in Primary Health Care Management
Our practice manager Mira Rajan is reponsible for the day to day running of the practice and will be happy to help you with any general enquiries which you may have about the non-medical aspects of your treatment. She is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice, such as ensuring that the right systems are in place to provide the best quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises, equipment and information technology. She supports the GP's, staff and other clinicians with delivering patient services. If you are unsure about who to speak to regarding a specific problem please do not hesitate to contact Mira and she will be happy to advise you.
Deputy Practice Manager
Our reception staff are here to help you. It is sometimes necessary for them to ask you for further details when you telephone. This is to ensure that we can assist you as quickly as possible, and that your are directed to the most appropriate person to deal with your problem. Please help them to help you by giving as much information as possible, especially in an emergency.
As you will see, activity in reception is often hectic and your patience is always appreciated.
Practice team also consists of Prescription Administrator, Practice Secretary, Summariser, Medical Assistants and Administrators.
Practice Nurses - Royal College of Nursing

Our practice nurses can help you with minor illnesses, family planning, immunisations and travel vaccinations, dietary advice, ear syringing and health promotion. The nurses have a special interest in women's health, well person and screening checks. Check with the reception staff if you are unsure whether to make an appointment with a nurse or a doctor.
Health Care Assistant
Kirti Davdra is a level 2 stop smoking advisor who carries out new patient screening, NHS Health Checks, ECG clinics, flu clinics and chlamydia screening at our practice. She also works with the doctors in the asthma/COPD clinic.
Practice Care Co-ordinator/Health Care Assistant
Tazeem Ali is a recently qualified Heath Care Assistant and also is trained to identify the patients who fall under our Priority Group of patients (older patients, frequent hospital attendance/admission). She will be able to organise any community support i.e. Social Services and/or OT assessment by liaising with the Community Care Navigator. She chairs practice monthly MDT meeting and runs clinics for New Patients Health Check, Mental Health Physical Health Checks & ECG.
The staff carry out their duties as directed by the management team. If you experience any difficulties, please take them up with the Practice Manager.
The practice is a teaching practice linked with the Queen Mary University of London (Medical Students) and Newham Work Experience Team (Schools).
On occasions you may be asked if a student can be present at your consultation. You can refuse this request if you wish to do so.
